Wednesday, October 25, 2006
Meeting convened at 4:00 p.m.
In attendance: Russell Bressette, Chairman
Ann Murphy, Assessor
Diane Hildreth, Principal Assessor
The minutes from the October 11, 2006 meeting was approved.
An ATB Motion to Dismiss due to the lack of jurisdiction was granted by telephone conference but the ATB ruled that we would still proceed with the hearing based on overvaluation. This hearing is scheduled for November 14, 2006.
The board reviewed and approved all Chapterland applications and Notice of Actions.
The board approved one Supplemental Real Estate Abatement for property on Palmer Road.
Diane updated the board on the continuing software issues facing the assessing department…..CLT still has not produced the necessary reports and has not even started the personal property module area of the software. On a more positive note Vision Software Demonstration took place this morning. A warrant article has been placed on the STM agenda. If this article passes Vision will send a representative in to extract the assessing database and start the conversion process. This process could take 4 – 6 weeks with Diane working closely with Vision during this period.
All correspondence since the last meeting was reviewed.
The next meeting is scheduled for November 8, 2006 at 4:00 p.m.
